* 1986-1992: followed courses at the Academy of Kontich (preparatory year), Academy of Leuven (two years of oil painting and drawing) and at Sint-Maria in
   Antwerpen (two years of drawing), combining these evening courses with reading law at the Universities of Antwerp and Leuven
* 1995-2005: several workshops in watercolour acryl, portrait en modeldrawing
* since 2008 : courses in graphical arts at the Art Academy of Antwerp (Merksem)
   with Goedele Peeters as teacher 
* member of "Kamer van Plastische Kunsten" (Chamber for Visual Arts), Schoten
